DEI Statement
At Dance Alabama Film Festival, we are committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in all aspects of our organization. We believe that dance is a universal language that can bring people from all backgrounds together, and it is important that our festival reflects and celebrates the diversity of our community.
We strive to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive of all individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, ability, or socioeconomic status. We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels safe, respected, and valued within our organization and that our programming reflects the diversity of our community.
We recognize that achieving true diversity, equity, and inclusion requires ongoing effort and a willingness to listen and learn from the experiences of others. We are committed to continuously educating ourselves and our community on issues related to DEI and working to dismantle any barriers that may prevent individuals from fully participating in our festival.
We believe that by prioritizing DEI in our organization, we can create a more vibrant, dynamic, and meaningful experience for all participants and audiences. We welcome feedback and ideas from our community as we work towards building a more inclusive and equitable future for dance and the arts.
